Our target is $4 m this year. The company sold Internet security and anti-virus solutions worth $2 million last year, said Alexander Gnatusin, Director of Channel (South Asia).

He said Kaspresky realised the India-specific market needs and reduced the cost of its security products significantly to make it affordable.

The Moscow-based company tied up with the Hyderabad-based Zoom Technologies for distributing its products in India.

Addressing a press conference in connection with the launch of Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Anti-Virus 2010 in the Indian market, the director said that the comany has implemented the solution in the South Central Railway, Andhra Pradesh Police and some defence organisations. With the recession putting pressure on the companies’ spend on Internet security solutions, "we are targeting them with affordable pricing,”  M.H. Noble, Managing Director of Zoom Technologies, said.
