Earlier, on Wednesday, the Delhi High Court had rejected the bail pleas of Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV managing director Sharad Kumar, following which she moved the Supreme Court.

Today, while hearing the case, the Supreme Court bench of Justice B.S. Chauhan and Justice Swatantra Kumar asked the CBI to file its response by June 20 on the details of the allegations against Kanimozhi and as to what happened to the over Rs.200 crore which was allegedly paid to Kalaignar TV, where Kanimozhi is a shareholder.
In its chargesheet CBI had named Kanimozhi as a co- conspirator and the active brain behind the scam.
