Kale Consultants opens SDC in Chennai

Mumbai-based Kale Consultants Ltd., a software

product development company, has opened a software development center at

Chennai. An investment of Rs 1.5 crore has been pumped into the facility.

The center will provide support services for Lakshmi Vilas Bank and all

the Indian bank outlets in the Southern region, where the company's retail

banking product-Winbank is implemented. The company is also looking out

for acquisitions in the overseas market, for which it has raised funds

valued at Rs 38.25 crore through an IPO to be opened on 17 September.

The company's main areas of operation include banking, airlines,

healthcare and co-operatives in the domestic as well as international

markets. The Chennai center is the fourth one of its kind, with the two

others in Pune and one at Thane (near Mumbai). An additional 20000 sqft is

being added to the existing area of 10000 sqft at Pune. Kale Consultants

Limited Chairman Narendra Kale said "Chennai is an excellent place in

terms of quality software personnel. The SDC here will apply a leading

edge technology into the financial sector."
