MUMBAI, INDIA: Unisys Corporation, an IT service provider, announced on Thursday that it would be partnering with Kale Consultants, a provider in global airline, to offer the AMBER Cargo Revenue Accounting solution for its air cargo portfolio.
The agreement reached by the two organizations stated that Unisys would offer AMBER as a hosted service and as a licensed solution to further strengthen its Logistics Management System (LMS) and related Hosting and Integration Services (HIS), said a press release.
“This new relationship addresses the demand of clients for proven and open solutions that can be delivered as a hosted Web-based service,” said Christopher Shawdon, vice president and partner, Logistics Solutions for Unisys.
He added that this relationship would give their clients new levels of visibility to financial information from the time of booking through delivery and invoicing to help improve profitability and service.
The solution would provide airlines with full financial control and automation of their revenue accounting process, the release said.
It would deliver business value by helping to maximize revenue, minimize costs, and shorten the time span to billing, thereby enabling increased cash flow.
“We are delighted to be entering into this exciting alliance with Unisys,” says Neela Bhattacharjee, head of Airlines SBU, Kale Consultants.
“The combination of the Unisys Logistics Management System and Kale’s AMBER will result in a market-leading, end-to-end cargo solution. The many benefits to airlines include the potential for: early recognition of revenue, operational cost savings, and greater levels of data integrity – all in a cohesive delivery model,” Neela added.
