HYDERABAD: JP Systems India Ltd. (JPSIL), a developer of wireless enabling

technology and solutions, has successfully developed an SMS (Short Messaging

Service) gateway. JPSIL's SMS gateway supports sending and receiving value added

information and emails on mobile devices. It also enables the subscribers to do

mobile banking.

JPSIL's SMS gateway offers push service, wherein the information is pushed by

the SMS gateway on to the mobile device of the registered user. This facility

enables users to receive reminders on the mobile handset on a specific day and

time. To utilize this service, the users have to register on the Web site of the

portal by configuring their account. This push service works by using the

database, which gets filled up every time a user configures his or her account.

JPSIL CMD Raghukumar said, "Our strategic alliance partner Netxcell.com

has bagged several prestigious projects in the field of SMS gateway on GSM

network for mobile customers, and WAP Services for Internet service

providers." The SMS gateway developed by JPSIL can be connected to any

external standalone SMSC (Short Messaging Service Center) at the operator's

place and compatible with both the CIMD and SMPP protocols. A unique and

important feature of the SMS gateway is the log analysis and report generation,

which would provide details of the various services being utilized by the mobile

users. This in turn helps the cellular operator to distinctly identify the

subscriber's information needs.
