Johnson to head Qualcomm India, Americas biz

MUMBAI, INDIA: Qualcomm Incorporated has appointed Peggy Johnson as its executive vice president of India and the Americas.

Kanwalinder Singh, president of Qualcomm India and South Asia and senior vice president of Qualcomm, will continue to lead the company’s operations in India and the South Asian countries and report to Johnson.

Qualcomm recently appointed Dr Sandeep Sibal as vice president and country manager of technology for Qualcomm India and South Asia, reporting to Singh.

Sibal will be responsible for driving Qualcomm’s wireless technologies and solutions in the region. Qualcomm also appointed Jeff Jacobs to the newly created chief marketing officer position.
