A range of Sony Xperia smartphones will soon get Jelly Bean update while less powerful Xperia siblings will be left behind on 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Sony has selected Xperia T, Xperia TX, and Xperia V models for the Jelly Bean update scheduled for February and March.
Among those staying put with ICS are Xperia U, Xperia Miro, Xperia Tipo, and Xperia Sola phones.
Following the update, Sony plans to deploy Android 4.1 to the Xperia J, Xperia P, and Xperia Go in late March.
The weeks following should see the Xperia S, SL, Xperia Acro S, and Xperia Ion picking up Jelly Bean.
According to reports, Sony plans to introduce some Xperia-specific features in the Jelly Bean update.
