JEE Mains: Exams will happen in two shifts; admit card will be available on or before July 4

The current pandemic has taken over our physical as well as mental health. In this situation, life-changing exams like JEE Mains are a huge concern. While several examinations have been postponed to as far as November, JEE Mains, even after postponement will be held in July.

Students raise concern over JEE Mains Exams

A lot of students have been wondering whether the exams will get postponed or not. As of now, there has been no official statement from authorities. But HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has received requests from a lot of students to postpone the exams.

However, the exams were earlier planned to be conducted in April 2020. But they were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic in India. The students are doubtful about the exams now. The JEE mains exam is now in July; from July 18-23.

No further date of postponement from the July exams is yet declared by the officials. Not just the JEE main, JEE advanced exam also stands postponed. JEE advanced exam was supposed to take place on May 17, 2020, but it is now scheduled on Sunday, August 23, 2020.

Two shift exam

The entrance exam for engineering will now be conducted from July 18, 2020, to July 23, 2020. The exams will be held in two shifts from 9 AM to 12 noon in the first shift and from 3 PM to 6 PM in the second shift.

Yet, the concerns are not less. Students (and parents) have cited health reasons to postpone the exams. The number of cases is rising almost every day, and major cities have active patients in 1000s.

JEE Mains Admit card

The JEE Main admit card will be available to download for the eligible students 15 days before the examination. It is expected to be available for download until July 4, 2020.
