The engineering entrance exam happens twice every year, in January and April. If the timeline was correct, JEE Main 2021 would be, first conducted on January 31, and then in April. But the timeline is not correct. NTA has not announced the dates yet. Although we know a tentative schedule, it does not confirm anything.
But we do know something. Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal took to his Twitter to announce the same. He said, "In line with the vision of NEP 2020, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) of JEE Main 2021 has decided to conduct the JEE Main 2021 in more regional languages of India. The examination will also be conducted in regional languages where entry to State Engineering Colleges is decided based on an examination (conducted in regional language). JEE Main will also include the state language of States who admit students on the basis of JEE Main 2021."
Is this a solution to make JEE Main 2021 more inclusive?
The process does not guarantee inclusion but only more problems. One of the users aimed to ask Education Minister as to how this benefits students. He said, "JEE Mains has 16 papers in a year and even with only English+Hindi version, the process isn't error-free. It awards many bonus marks. Making it multi-lingual will only mean more errors in translations and more bonus marks? Why do it? Who wants it?"
Another user stated that instead of talking about languages, BTA should announce the JEE Main January session dates. He said, "Class 12 students are anxiously awaiting some announcements on Board exams and JEE-NEET exams. No one is interested in local languages. Please understand good textbooks are in English only."

Yet, on a plus side, as the Education Minister said, this move could help students who could not score due to the language barrier. They will be able to score more, He also expects that this move may see an increase in the number of participations.
