SCOTTSDALE, USA: JDA Software Group, Inc., The Supply Chain Company, announced that SAS Cargo Group, the air cargo carrier to, from, via and within Scandinavia, selected JDA Pricer in the second quarter of 2013 to improve its rate setting and rate management processes for its contracted and spot business.


As added, SAS Cargo offers frequency, coverage and capacity, based on punctuality, competence and high levels of service, connecting Europe with the rest of the world. The SAS Cargo traffic system covers all of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, as well as Finland and the Baltic area.

Operating in an industry that is experiencing anemic growth and stiff competition from other modes of transportation, SAS Cargo recognized that it needed to innovate significantly in order to compete effectively and grow its market share. SAS Cargo has already invested in upgrading its booking and revenue management systems. The next logical step was to improve the rate-setting processes to become more dynamic and responsive to changing customer needs and market conditions.
