JDA Extends Executive Leadership

JDA Software, Inc. announced the appointment of Umesh Gaur as managing director of JDA’s Centers of Excellence (CoE) in India and Vinok Sequeira as senior vice president (SVP), Associate Success for the Asia-Pacific region including the India CoEs. In his new role, Gaur will be responsible for providing leadership of the two CoEs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad and continue to be instrumental in interacting with regional customers underlining the JDA value proposition from the sales cycle through to delivery and implementation.

Umesh Gaur began his career at JDA in 2000 as a director in the Consulting function and steadily moved up into various leadership roles including vice president and group vice president of Global Consulting Delivery.

With deep domain expertise in supply chain and focus on customer success, Gaur has led many transformational projects for some of the biggest Fortune 100 companies. Over the last decade, he has been pivotal in transforming talent into next-generation architects and consultants to lead and design the future supply chain in the world of data science, cognitive and machine learning.

In his comments, Umesh Gaur, managing director, JDA’s India CoEs, said, “India plays a growing, strategic role in various facets of JDA’s organizational transformation initiatives. Look forward to the opportunity provided to steer the excellent talent in India CoEs further in this direction.”

In his new role as SVP, associate success for the Asia-Pacific region and India CoEs, Vinok Sequeira will align the Associate Success team in APAC with the marketing and sales force in the field, customer success teams working with its’ customers and product development teams and other functions, all with an eye towards JDA’s laser focus on customer success.

Sequeira started his career at i2 Technologies (now JDA) in 1997 and has been instrumental in building the CoE and the company’s growth in the region. He is responsible for leading business growth through hiring, engaging and developing supply chain talent. Sequeira has steadily grown in his career within the organization over a period of 22 years and is passionate about people and HR’s alignment to the business.

Congratulating Sequeira, Salil Joshi said, “Over the decades, Vinok has a proven track record of strong leadership. Not only has he managed his HR responsibilities effectively but has provided broad leadership to the India CoEs, facilitated cross-functional collaboration and championed a deep community engagement program.”

The two CoEs include 2,500 associates across India, responsible for delivering profitable revenue growth to customers and stakeholders through unparalleled service, world-class talent, continuous innovation, on-demand support and best in class quality.
