JavaServer Faces 1.2 available under CDDL

NEW DELHI: Taking another step towards open source adoption, Sun Microsystems' has announced the release of its JavaServer Faces technology to the open source community. Said an online report.

Source code for JSF implementation 1.2 has been made available under the Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL).

Still in the final stages of becoming a Java standard, the source code of JSF 1.2 is available at the GlassFish Project site.

JSF defines a set of JSP tags and APIs. These components being reusable in nature simplifies the work of developers.

Sun Microsystems' other contributions to the open source community have been the starting of Open Web Single Sign-On project, the Open Enterprise Server Bus project, the GlassFish project, and the release of OpenSolaris source code to the open source world.
