Japanese company develops news reader app for Google Glass

TOKYO, JAPAN: jig.jp, the Japan based mobile software company, developed a news reader app "kawara" for Google Glass.

It has features that wearable devices can be more attractive such as

autoplaying and reading news articles aloud.

From Sabae City where is well-known as the largest manufacturing centers of

eyeglass frames in Japan and our head office is located, we have announced the app for Google Glass.

Even without any action, you can read the latest news thanks to the function

it flips the screen automatically.

- You can launch the app by saying "Show me news".

Read the articles saved in Pocket later.

- News in the U.S. and Japan

The U.S. and Japan news are supported.

This app will be released soon after a Google Glass app store is available.

The company is planning to add a new function with GPS that shows local news as a use of Open Data to the app.
