The company, in a statement, also stated that before the release of the EV, 22 retailer outlets across 19 cities in India are EV ready. Further, these retailer outlets will supplement the launch of the All-Electric Jaguar I-PACE. These 22 Retailer outlets have also installed more than 35 chargers across sales and after-sales facilities. Further, the retailer personnel have undergone extensive training to cater to the requirements of EV customers. With regards to the launch, Jaguar has provided specialised tools and dedicated bays for servicing electric vehicles to these retailers.

Rohit Suri, President and MD, Jaguar Land Rover India commented that EV will not just be a new mobility solution. He said, “Owning one will also be a new ownership experience. We recognise this and have worked relentlessly with our Retailers to ensure that owning an EV is truly a hassle-free experience for our customers.”

Previously, he had stated that the immersive and engaging digital event will provide a peek into a future-facing urban metropolis. It is practically designed from the perspective of a sustainable ecosystem. It uses innovative technologies and supports efficient modes of mobility like EV.

About the charging stations

The Indian market currently does not have a solid EV infrastructure. But with Jaguar, there are currently over 35 EV chargers at Retailer facilities across India. It aims to add more in the coming days to help its EV cars charge their Jaguar I-PACE using Tata Power’s EZ Charge Network. It has over 200 charging points across the country. These are present at convenient locations like malls, restaurants, offices, residential complexes and along the highways. Further, the charging options are an addition to the home charging solutions that the company will provide as a standard practice.
