Jagdish Kini joins Aircel as Group CEO

CHENNAI: Aircel announced the appointment of Jagdish Kini as group chief executive officer effective from November 1, 2006. He will be leading the Aircel team for its all-India operations.

Speaking about his new assignment, Kini said: "My primary focus is to transform Aircel from being a regional operator to a nation-wide operator and further strengthen its customer-centric focus with new products and services."

Kini brings with him over 30 years of professional experience having worked in global majors such as Procter & Gamble, Parke Davis / Warner Lambert, L'Oreal and Gillette (Middle East and Asia). Kini's career achievements include the setting up of Indian operations of L'Oreal and also Airtel's Karnataka operations.

Kini is an MBA graduate from Symbiosis Institute, Pune. He has also done an advanced management programme from CEDEP / Insead Institute, Fontaine Bleau, France.
