Ixia opens R&D center in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Ixia, provider of IP network testing solutions, has announced the opening of its R&D and customer support center in Bangalore.

With an investment of Rs 45 million, the new center would further strengthen Ixia's presence in India, Ixia said in a statement on Wednesday.

The facility would offer services for its India customers, including sales, service, comprehensive training, and a proof-of-concept and certification lab.

Ixia also plans to increase its presence and penetration in verticals across the Asia Pacific region, including the Carrier, Enterprise and Government markets.

The Company now has more than 130 engineers in India offering customers core R&D functions, fully equipped labs to support both pre- and post-sales activities including professional training and the staging of real-world Triple-Play testing scenarios.

Sam Bass, executive vice president of Operations for Ixia, said, "Our offices in Bangalore and Kolkata allow us to more effectively utilize the talents of local software engineers and to support our local customers in successful the testing and deployment of their IP networking technology.
