Features: MRO-TEK Ltd has announced the launch of Ivy2424 a next
generation managed fast Ethernet media converter concentrator and Ivy01 —
managed fast Ethernet CPE, to deliver managed fast Ethernet connects over fiber
for delivering broadband services ideally suited for carriers, service providers
networks and large enterprises campus connectivity.
“With the launch of the Ivy series, we have enabled carriers, service
providers to deliver multiple services over fiber in the last mile with ease of
deployment backed with last mile management. By using Ivy2424 and Ivy01 service
providers can roll out broadband services over fiber in the last mile,” said
Sudhindra Holla, AGM-Mktg, MRO-TEK.
The Ivy2424 is a managed fast Ethernet concentrator housing 24 fast Ethernet
media converters with varying flavours supporting long distance single mode
fiber and single fiber connects. Ivy2424 supports SNMPv2 providing standards
based management.
Also when working opposite the Ivy01 as the CPE, last mile management is
supported with advanced OAM features including Dying gasp. The Ivy series is
feature rich in its offering suiting the needs of service providers and large
campus networks, MRO-TEK statement said.
Ivy2424 comes with internal auto-ranging AC or DC power supply with redundancy.
With other important features like dying gasp power outages in the last mile can
be detected using simple network management protocol (SNMP) support.
“Buying Ivy will be a sound business decision for carriers and service
providers as it delivers revenue generating multi services while maintaining
lower operation, administration and maintenance cost,” Holla added.
