With this agreement, customers can combine iTKO’s virtualization software product with HP’s quality management, functional and performance testing solutions to accelerate testing efforts and reduce costs associated with the delivery of modern applications.

The addition of iTKO’s LISA Virtualize product to HP’s quality and performance management solutions can help accelerate the application lifecycle by eliminating costly and common system and infrastructure dependencies during application testing, said a press release.

“Customers struggle to bring their software projects to market faster while simultaneously lowering business risks and ensuring SLA compliance,” said Shridhar Mittal, iTKO’s CEO.

“iTKO’s virtualization capabilities provide key strategic advantages to our customers, including lowering test lab costs by up to 65 per cent, and shortening software release cycles by up to 38 per cent. These benefits are essential in today’s tough economic climate, and we look forward to extending these customer benefits to a broader market with HP,” he added.

Jonathan Rende, vice president and general manager, Business Technology Optimization Applications, Software and Solutions, HP said, “Customers can reduce costs and speed up their ability to respond to business needs by modernizing their applications.”

He further said that by bringing together HP quality center and HP performance center solutions with iTKO’s LISA Virtualize software, customers can remove delay-causing system dependencies during their testing processes to reduce the time and cost of delivering today's complex applications.

iTKO and HP are initially targeting sales and marketing efforts in North America with other geographies to follow, added the release.
