ITC Infotech a gets a 'green tag'

BANGALORE, INDIA:ITC Infotech, a 100 per cent subsidiary of ITC and a provider in IT services, said today that it has been featured in the Black Book of Outsourcing 2008 Green Report, brought out by the Brown Wilson Group in the US.

It has been placed among the top twenty green vendors who have delivered on the triple bottom line milestones of economic gains, environmental stewardship and social improvements, said a press release.

The survey conducted among 4200 global outsourcing users found that 94 per cent of American corporate leaders still consider Eco-friendly computing as an important element in their technology strategy and also prefer green outsourcing partners as a top IT priority.

In addition to this recognition as a “Green Vendor”, ITC Infotech also featured among the top ITO “Infrastructure Vendors” in the 2008 Black Book of Outsourcing where the Brown Wilson Group has evaluated leading global outsourcing service providers across 18 operational excellence key performance indicators based on the perspective of client experience.

Over 400,000 users are invited to participate in this evaluation. ITC Infotech ranked among the top 10 global vendors across various criteria including vendor overall preference, innovation, training, breadth of offerings, delivery excellence, deployment and outsourcing implementation, integration, interface, reliability, brand image and marketing communication, support and customer care among many others.

The Black Book of Outsourcing by Brown and Wilson group is regarded as the most comprehensive publication on outsourcing. It is considered one of the most regarded and important source of essential outsourcing information and practice.
