IT@School: Gods own learning

Initiated by the Kerala government's General Education Department, the objective of IT@School project is to introduce IT-enabled teaching in more than 2,600 high schools of the state, and to integrate IT in the mainstream curriculum for bringing about the much desired improvement in conventional teaching methodologies.

Thus, it will enhance intellectual productivity of teachers, and improve students?learning capabilities.

K Anvar Sadath, executive director, IT@School project, Department of General Education, Kerala government says that what makes this project stand out from other such similar initiatives is the fact that IT@School project is one of the largest deployments of free open source software (FOSS) based ICT education in the world.
