The new system, as explained, will help Christiana Care comply with processes required to manage government grants and comply with the reporting terms on awardees by agencies such as the National Institutes of Health.

"Applying for a grant and then managing the award throughout its lifecycle requires meticulous attention to detail and unfailing accuracy in reporting," said Rob McMurray, vice president and controller, Christiana Care. "We needed an automated system that could not only ensure accuracy and facilitate accountability, but also streamline these complex processes for our system users."

"Huron's Click and ecrt products will make reporting easier for our investigators and administrators and increase administrative confidence that award-related processes are flawless," said Nicholas J. Petrelli, M.D., medical director, Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, Christiana Care.

Huron's research software solutions will automate all grants award processes, including proposal creation, budget review and electronic submission to Grants.gov, proposal tracking, and comprehensive award management. In addition, the solution facilitates a compliant approach to effort reporting through integration of various financial, payroll and research administration systems. The automated interplay of these business processes will produce compliant effort reports and efficient awards management.

Nathan Haines, managing director, Huron Consulting Group added. "Researchers want to spend their time on delivering results, not on administration. At the same time, administrative staff members need to balance increased responsibilities more productively. Huron's research solutions address these burdens across the board for all stakeholders."
