C-Change 2013: 'IT needs to be made future proof'

BANGALORE, INDIA: Information technology is no more just a support system of a business house. It is becoming more and more important to its mainstream functioning and growth.

"In 2013, organisation across the world need to be aggressive and conservative at the same time. Alligning IT with business goals is more important than ever today. Delivering business solutions and redefining cost of IT will be the major focus areas this year," said Jayesh George, head, marketing, India & SAARC, Riverbed. He was addressing the audience while speaking on, 'IT Performance Management', during the second day of CIOL C-Change.

In today's competitive environment, IT needs to be made future proof so that it sustains challenges ahead.

"A future proof IT requires performance, cost effectiveness, security and flexibility. Initiatives that will help in achieving future IT infrastructure are data centre control, data centralization, cloud integration and performance optimization," he added.
