We are slowly going to see the demise of traditional desktops & laptops due to the arrival of tablets, Ipad & hand held computing devices. This will also ensure that the size of offices will shrink, people will work from home & virtual offices, internet will become more powerful, bandwidth will increase & go to every nook & corner, wireless technology will increase, etc. We are looking at mobile computing devices replacing the desktops & laptops.

Advice to peers in terms of lessons, mistakes or challenges you experienced over past few years?

We would like to caution our colleagues and peers that all new technologies have to be tested and after great deliberations a plunge should be taken. It may so happen that a particular technology may be a craze but may not be useful to your company. The success rates of new technology should be seen. Some technologies may be ahead of time & may not have the necessary infrastructure to support it & may collapse.
