iSoft rakes in over $ 7 mn in healthcare deals

CHENNAI, INDIA: iSOFT Group Limited, Australia’s listed health information technology company has announced it signed contracts totaling more than $7.84m (A $9 million) in August and September.

In the largest deal, worth $2.14m (£1.34 million), (A $2.4 million), iSOFT agreed to continue supporting its patient administration system (PAS) with Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Surrey, England, for a further three years. Recent changes to the National Programme for IT allow hospital trusts in the southern region to engage directly with iSOFT. Frimley Park is the fifth NHS trust in southern England this year to extend support agreements after upgrading to the latest version of PatientCentre PAS.

iSOFT entered the Peru market with a $1.4 million contract for a hospital information system (HIS) at six private hospitals in the Lima region. The deal, which boosts the company’s global footprint to 40 countries, follows agreements with Mexico and Honduras in the past year as it seeks growth opportunities in Latin America.

In Germany, ISOFT won orders with two new customers totaling $1.57m. Kreiskrankenhaus Frankenberg has committed to iSOFT’s HIS for six years. Klinik Vincentinum, Augsburg, agreed on a five-year contract for a radiology information system in a license-only deal, as shared by the company in a press release. In the Netherlands, iSOFT agreed on a services contract worth more than $726,850.

In Australia, iSOFT won orders worth $1.66m as Victoria Health continues to implement iSOFT’s i.Patient Manager solution in acute care and community care settings across the state. To date iSOFT and Victoria Health have implemented i.PM in seven agencies, with an additional three currently in progress.
