BANGALORE: Ishoni Networks has announced the launch of its DV2000 and D2000
broadband engines. These are the first two products of its
"Gateway-on-a-Chip" solutions. It is designed to give customer premise
equipment (CPE) manufacturers a critical time-to-market advantage as well as
development cost savings.
The Ishoni DV2000 and D2000 can quickly and easily be designed into broadband
CPE, allowing end-users to save thousands of dollars in equipment costs and
monthly service fees by using a single broadband connection for all their voice
and secure data needs.
The immediate availability of the DV2000 and D2000 broadband platforms is yet
another milestone for Ishoni.
The DV2000 is being pitched as the world's first solution to combine data
networking, voice processing and security on a single chip. This makes the
DV2000 the ideal solution for Voice-over-Broadband (VoB) applications. For
example, telecommuters can use a single DSL connection for their voice, fax and
Internet needs, as well as for a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection
to their employer’s firewalled corporate network.
While the DV2000 targets the small business and SOHO markets, the D2000 is an
ideal solution for data-only CPE for residential customers. It gives
manufacturers significant cost savings and also meets the increasing need for
embedded security to protect customers using always-on, broadband Internet
connections.
Both the DV2000 and D2000 Gateway-on-a-Chip solutions incorporate Ishoni's
patent-pending FlexibleWAN Engine that allows them to interface with DSL, cable
and broadband wireless connections.
In addition to the DV2000 and D2000, Ishoni offers a software suite and a
development kit that allows manufacturers to immediately build and test data,
voice and security applications.
