ISACA tells how to bridge cyber security skills gap

ISACA Bangalore Chapter organizes conference and tells how to address the shortage of skilled cyber security professionals

BANGALORE, INDIA: The Annual Karnataka Conference organized by ISACA Bangalore Chapter last week saw information security professionals and cyber law experts from across industries share their insights on the issues, threats, opportunities and challenges organizations undertake the digital transformation journey.

B. J. Srinath, Director General - ICERT, DeitY said, “This makes it important for them to have the requisite knowledge and skills to ensure these disruptive technologies are leveraged effectively and efficiently.”

During the two-day conference, domain experts shared their insights on the various aspects of cyber security including lessons learnt from the recent attacks, best practices to follow, and how to address the shortage of skilled security professionals.

The attendees got an opportunity to learn more about ISACA’s Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX)—a holistic resource providing credentials, training, research and networking to help address the cyber security skills gap.

R. V. Raghu, International Director of ISACA and President of ISACA Bangalore Chapter said, “For the success of the government’s initiatives such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Digital India’, and ‘100 Smart Cities’ there is a pressing need to tackle cyber security issues associated with SMAC and IoT. I am confident that ISACA’s CSX will help Indian organizations address the cyber security skills gap.”
