BANGALORE, INDIA: The Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing Industry is expected to grow to $400 by 2020, a 10 fold jump from the current numbers. The ISA Vision Summit 2010 is being jointly organized by the India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the apex trade body representing the India semiconductor industry, along with the IT department, Government of Karnataka.
B. V Naidu, Chairman, ISA said that the Vision Summit 2010 is positioned as a high-powered global leadership forum for the Indian electronics industry and will focus on the Indian market which will provide the momentum for growth in the new decade.
The vision summit will mark the beginning of a new decade of the new growth driven by the Electronic Systems and Design and Manufacturing in the country. “This is happening at a time with the Government of India and Karnataka are deliberating on the new policy announcement, based on the recommendation of ISA to make the industry play a significant role by 2020”. Naidu added.
Dr Pradip K Dutta, ISA Vision Summit 2010 convener and Corporate Vice President and MD, Synopsys said that the summit will see a convergence of industry through leadership and business innovation momentum inherent with the growth of of the India market. The conclave will feature speakers from India and overseas, highlighting the dynamics of the local market and its potential in the new decade.
In addition to existing initiatives to encourage upcoming talent in the semiconductor industry, ISA also announced the Technovations Awards 2010 to recognized innovations and achievement in the dynamic and evolving Indian electronics industry.
