LONDON, ENGLAND: Software house AmarCode, has revealed the latest version of it's browser ArbSurfer Pro Version 2. Initially intended specifically for sports arbitrage traders but extremely pleasant to use in everyday web surfing, ArbSurfer Pro now heads this group as the most advanced and technologically innovative browser currently available.

About 100,000 people downloaded Version 1.0 during the 18 months leading up to the 2.0 release, and their feedback has helped refine the latest version of this browser into a very slick package indeed.

ArbSurfer Pro provides the user with complete control over all cookies, both in terms of which are allowed to be saved and for how long. Sites which won't load properly without acceptance of a cookie do not present a problem as ArbSurfer Pro can accept the cookie for a single session of surfing and delete it afterwards.

Rajeev Shah of AmarCode adds "Whilst just about everyone is now familiar with the convenience of tabbed browsing, ArbSurfer Pro goes one step further and introduces Tablettes - the ability to see 2 or more web pages within the same Tab. This feature was originally introduced to assist traders who need to view 2 websites simultaneously, without flicking from tab to tab, in order to compare price movements. However, it's an absolute boon to the general surfing experience. Want to open a spread of pages on eBay and keep them all in view? Just open an eBay tab and set up your pages as Tablettes. You can open as many Tabletted Tabs as you want and even save them as special bookmarks called Power Groups, for one-click opening at any time."

The browser can be set to auto-refresh a website, a Tab, a collection of Tabs, a Tablette and even a collection of Tablettes at preset intervals. This feature cn be used to ensure that all open pages remain fresh - a very useful feature for those who tend to keep news, blogs, forums or auction sites open.

Popup Blocking is central to ArbSurfer Pro, and not an afterthought or an aftermarket accessory as it is with virtually every other browser available today. Its flexibility allows the user to choose exactly which sites can open pop-ups and which can't. Interestingly, ArbSurfer keeps the pop-ups in a pool which can be accessed at any time, even if they were previously closed. Google search is built right into the toolbar and provides the ability both to search the web and to search specific sites.

ArbSurfer Pro remembers all log-in codes for the sites visited by the user. This feature, which exists to some extent in other browsers, has been implemented exceptionally well in this particular browser. It not only stores the codes, keeping them in an safely encrypted local database, but also signs into the sites automatically with a single click. This speeds up surfing considerably - a single click on a saved bookmark is all that is required to open a page and log the user in.

A Profile is provided, into which users can store personal details. These details can then be used to fill out forms with a single-click. This feature was originally developed for sports-arbitrage traders who need to open multiple accounts at bookmaker sites but it's useful for anyone who shops online and has had enough of typing their address details out every time. The Profile, which is protected using industry-standard encryption protocols and stored locally, can also be set up with credit card information in order to facilitate quick purchases.

Another unique feature is the automatic remote back-up of data and settings. Using industry-standard high encryption technologies plus an added layer which comes from unique registration codes, ArbSurfer Pro will auto-save all logins, credit card data, general settings and preferences periodically and automatically. In this way, data is kept safe from hard drive failure: in order to restore the data the user simply reinstalls arbSurfer Pro, enters some unique registration codes and all data and settings are restored. This feature also allows easy set up of the browser on all of the user's computers - home, office, desktop and laptop - with the same browser settings and log-in codes.

A multi-use sidepanel which can contain a notepad, your bookmarks or a list of thumbnails of sites currently open. There is a screenshot facility built into the browser. This was originally put in for traders, many of whom like to keep records of the trade or betslips they create. Non-traders might use this whenever they make a purchase online - just to keep a record of the receipts and refund terms.

The browser also has a sports-arbitrage and betting exchange calculator built in. This is probably the only feature that is not going to be of use to the average surfer who is not a trader but it can be hidden away at the click on a button so it remains unintrusive. There is also a multi-language website translation feature and the browser allows mouse-gesture control for speed and convenience.
