Is America Online Entering India?

Market is abuzz with rumors of America online (AOL)

planning to enter India through equity arrangement with Satyam Online, India's first

non-government Internet Service provider (ISP). AOL has been moving very aggressively

elsewhere in the US and the rest of the world and the Indian entry is probably in line

with its global ambitions of becoming the largest ISP in the world.

Srini Raju promoter of Satyam group declined to comment on

the issue and referred the issue to Ramraj. However Satyam Online officials were not

available to comment as CEO Ramraj was travelling and K Thyagarajan was busy in a meeting.
