CIOL had published the original report - IPL new stress buster for techies - on Tuesday. The IPL website (http://www.iplt20.com/) published the same article with slight modifications the next day.

The article on IPL website carried quotes from the original report, without the names of those quoted.

CyberMedia News, which provided the article to CIOL, filed another article on Wednesday, reporting the IPL website republishing the article without naming the source or the consent of the original publication.

The IPL website removed the controversial article following this report.

Though the website is silent on this article and its removal, a Google search leads to the IPL link of the story, which cannot be opened.

The IPL website has not provided any reasons for removing the article.

Repeated attempts to contact its officials were unsuccessful.

Ironically, the IPL had earlier come up with restrictions on media covering its Twenty20 tournament, including banning Cricinfo and Rediff.com from covering the event.

This led to widespread criticism. Though this issue was later sorted out to some extent, protesting international news agencies were boycotting the coverage of the tournament.
