iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in August?

BANGALORE, INDIA: One of the most awaited smartphones of the year, Apple's iPhone 5, is likely to be released on August 7, 2012 according to the website Know Your Mobile. Although this news cannot be confirmed right now, it does bring about anticipation and a lot of excitement among gadget enthusiasts.

The rumored features, which are being widely speculated on the Web, are that the mobile phone will have a 4-inch screen, 3D maps, updated Siri, 4G LTE, NFC (near field communication), 3D camera, smaller dock connector, etc.

The website also mentions that the news, which ''comes via a reliable industry source'' reveals that the launch will take place via a keynote speech. The iPhone 5 is also rumored to operate on the iOS 6 operating system.

The question that arises now is why the iPhone 5 launch, which was initially stated to be released in October, has been forwarded to August? Is it being done to keep up with the rumored August 30, 2012 release of Samsung Galaxy Note 2?

  4. It does not come as a surprise that both Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2, in terms of connectivity, will probably have NFC, 4G LTE, etc.

  5. In terms of camera resolution, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is rumored to have a 13 mega-pixel camera, while Apple iPhone 5 is apparently planning on a 10 mega-pixel camera

It cannot be said if the above mentioned rumors are true or not. However, the rumors and speculations can only be put to rest with the actual launch of the smartphones.
