iPhone 5 4G LTE: Apple disappoints India once again

BANGALORE, INDIA: This time too Apple does not see the point in supporting India's LTE network. That is why, despite its 4G LTE worldwide claim, out of all the LTE spectrum bands that it can support, the one on which the country's LTE network is based upon, 2300 MHz, does not feature.

iPhone 5 can only connect to certain LTE networks in the US, Canada, Japan, Germany, UK, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

The device supports the following LTE frequency bands.

LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100 GSM A1428

LTE 850 / 1800 / 2100 GSM A1429

LTE 700 / 850 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 - CDMA A1429
