'IPCom pledges fair licensing for patents'

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: IPCom, a German license manager for patents, has promised to offer fair licensing terms for patents acquired from Germany's Bosch, European Union antitrust regulators said on Thursday.

"The Commission welcomes IPCom's declaration and considers that it is important that when patents essential to a standard are transferred from one owner to another, so should any relevant FRAND commitments," the EU executive said in a statement.
