Iomega launches Personal Cloud in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Iomega, an EMC company, launched its new Iomega Personal Cloud technology in india.

Iomega Personal Cloud is a web-based computing architecture that connects Iomega network storage device to other individuals and/or devices via the Internet.

"Iomega's new Personal Cloud is an innovative technology that separates our network storage products from the competition," said Praveen Sahai, director, sales, Iomega India & SAARC. "Utilizing the expertise of EMC, we have transformed our next generation NAS devices into cloud servers that users can access anywhere, anytime."

"In addition, by buying two or more of our NAS products, you can remotely back-up your onsite data to an alternate location — be it your office, home or some other location — giving consumers and small businesses the ideal disaster recovery plan that's easy to implement and economical, too."

There are no usage fee or subscription charges. Iomega Personal Cloud technology is now available in India along with Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive Cloud Edition, priced at Rs. 7,500.
