Features: CA has announced Introscope ChangeDetector, the solution to automatically detect web application changes and enable IT staff to correlate them with changes in application performance.

Introscope ChangeDetector uniquely empowers IT staff to identify and correct problematic changes to Java code, application server configurations and back-end systems.

Available from CA's Wily division, Introscope ChangeDetector integrates with Introscope 7, the solution for monitoring and optimizing the performance of business-critical web applications.

Julie Craig, senior analyst at EMA, said, "A single, unified view of both data types can significantly improve the success rate of application updates while accelerating the diagnosis and resolution of problems."

It monitors applications 24x7 in real time and records the details of changes including time of change, nature of change, and differences between critical application text files. It delivers deep visibility into application code changes, configuration changes to the application server, and connections to back-end systems. Application changes are automatically categorized as additions, modifications or deletions, and can be quickly sorted by the type of application change, or by grouping changes according to the internal components of the application itself.

By simultaneously presenting performance and change events for key application components such as text files, binary files, archives, JVM classes, system properties, and database tables, Introscope ChangeDetector allows IT teams to rapidly correlate application performance with current or historical application changes.
