Intoto opens second SDC in India

HYDERABAD: Intoto Inc. has inaugurated its new R&D facility in Chennai. This center is Intoto's second dedicated technology development facility in India, in addition to its R&D Center in Hyderabad. The company has earmarked an investment of $15 million over a period of five years to expand each of its centers in Hyderabad and Chennai.






According to the company, the Chennai facility will be the key software development location for its new generation Secure Socket Layer (SSL) VPN products and components for Unified Threat Management Solutions (UTM) for the networking industry. It will also be building a Linux platform group to support the development efforts on embedded Linux platforms.





The new location, which includes state-of-the art computer and communications equipment, highlights Intoto's investment in software development for next generation SSL VPN and UTM products. Intoto provides fully integrated software platforms for networking and communication OEM across the world. Intoto's technology focus is in the area of security, wireless and voice with products like Firewall, VPN, Intrusion protection, Wireless Security (802.11x), URL and content filtering and VoIP.





"Chennai has been chosen as second Intoto development center as it boasts of good software engineering skills particularly in the networking area. The company is committed to the growth and expansion of this center as the company itself grows," said Intoto Software, India COO SN Murthy.





"The company had identified areas of growth for this center and expects the new products from this center will roll out second and third quarters of this year that will help Intoto stay ahead in the Networking Security business and support the growing customer demand for its products worldwide," he added.
