The price hike has been made effective from September 1, 2006. This has been introduced in the wake of certain factors like global increase in various raw material costs' such as copper, aluminum, steel and plastics; the weakening of Indian Rupee due to appreciation in Dollar exchange rate and gradual increase in oil prices. However, the products excluded from this price hike are Intex DVD players, Desktop PCs, Notebooks, CRT and TFT- LCD Monitors.

Pankaj Dubey, general manager, Sales and Marketing, Intex Technologies, said, “In spite of all these cost deterrents, we have so far tried our best to provide our target segments with the top - quality products and services. Intex believes in constantly increasing and improving its product range. The price rise is marginal and shall not perturb this effort of the company.”

The company has aggressive plans to increase the market share further in B & C class cities with new products and models in IT hardware and electronics segment this financial year. Intex is also expanding its service network to serve the customers better.
