ERP testing a lucrative market

Talking about testing industry Pant informed that the company's main differentiator is ERP testing. "For SAP and Oracle applications there is no good automated easy way of testing these applications. In any upgrade of SAP or Oracle application, more than 50 per cent of the upgrade cost goes on testing," said Pant.

Further SAP intends to launch a new product on testing acceleration and optimization. "Big guys entering into this market, changes the perspective of the young professional about the significance of the testing industry," said Pant.

Intelligroup has partnered with HP - Mercury and Compuware, testing vendor for ERP testing solutions. "We have developed between 300-400 test scripts that automates the whole testing process," Pant said.

Intelligroup has a separate entity – Verification and Validation (VaV), which builds specialized testing and validation skills that it offers as a service to its customers.
