Intel launches e-biz programme

BANGALORE: Intel has introduced its e-business solutions provider (eBSP)

programme in India which is aimed at bringing e-business developers from across

the country to establish a team of e-business experts who can advise and

integrate Intel Architecture based solutions. Intel would be a building block

supplier to the Internet economy and the four blocks were a client platform,

server platform, networking and communications and lastly solutions and

services.

Speaking at the launch of Intel e-Business Solution Providers (e-BSP) in

India, Intel Corp. senior vice president and director sales and marketing Sean

Maloney said, "We have decided to build blocks by providing new technology,

services and marketing support at all levels.'' He also said that, the programme

was an initiative to bring together e-business developers from across India to

establish a team of experts who can advise and integrate leading edge Intel

architecture based solution.

The e-BSP programme will allow developers to take advantage of a

comprehensive catalogue of Intel resources to develop, market and sell

e-business applications and solutions, said India Content Group manager Narender

Bhandari. Developer support will include access to online resources targeted at

software developers. It would also dedicate engineering and marketing staff to

provide the latest information on tools and software. Intel will be assisting

member e-business solution providers with matchmaking opportunities among

vendors, conduct marketing efforts, provide technical training and access to its

database of collateral, white papers and solution briefs.

Intel India is seeking to work with a total of 100 e-BSPs by the end of the

year. The company expects to achieve a sales growth of 20-30 per cent this year.

For the Indian market, the company expects to make strategic investments through

joint ventures in the coming months as well as develop the Internet economy.
