BANGALORE: Intel Asia Electronics has announced the setting up of three new
e-business solutions labs in India. These labs, being set up along with
associate partners, will develop solutions on Intel Architecture.
Wipro Infotech, Satyam Computers Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers are the
associate partners in whose premises the labs will be set up. While the labs in
Wipro and Satyam will be geographically located in Bangalore, the one in
Pricewaterhouse Coopers will be located in Kolkata.
"Through these initiatives we aim to help PwC, Satyam and Wipro to
provide users with Intel Architecture-based solutions that solve real business
problems. We expect the work in these labs to clearly demonstrate to customers
that industry standards servers are the best choice for building flexible,
scalable and innovative mission critical e-business solutions. Our teams will
share best practice learning with Indian companies, who are looking to reduce
cost and risk by identifying issues early and by optimising all of their IT
investments," said, Intel’s vice president and general manager of
business solutions, John Davies.
The three labs will be used for the development, optimization, validation and
porting of solutions based on Intel Architecture. The facilities will be
equipped with high-end server hardware, software and technical information
provided by Intel and the companies will develop and showcase solutions to their
customers. The labs are expected to accelerate the delivery of solution across
several industries, including the finance and banking, manufacturing and telecom
sectors.
While PwC offers SAP `test-drives’ on Intel Architecture, Satyam develops
best practices for enterprises and Wipro targets mission critical solutions.
