HYDERABAD: Intel India's community affairs team today

announced the completion of phase one of rebuilding Tsunami stricken fishing

village Arcottuthurai (55kms from Nagapattinam).

Intel completed this mission with consultation and support of local District
Commissioner's Office and Children's Love Castles Trust .

In June this year, this village witnessed the inauguration of its new school,
computer and vocational training centre, a state-of-art library and a community

centre.

In the second phase, beginning July, Intel will begin efforts to equip the local
community with vocational training and skill building activities.

Franklin Jones,
president, Intel India, said: "This project exemplifies Intel India's

strong commitment to the community with a large number of our employees

extending their whole hearted support in this village. The inauguration stands

for the fulfillment of an important task for us and further strengthens the vigour

of our future efforts in community development."

Intel will also launch a host of other programs in the area of healthcare and
waste management at Arcottuthurai. In the course of time, Intel would handover

these programs with the infrastructure in place to the people of Arcottuthurai.
