PCQLinux2005, the OS we released this March
We are releasing the much-awaited update to our Linux distro with this issue that will provide you with the latest critical patches and updates for the distro. There is a separate CD for it along with this
issue. There are two major updates-the kernel update to version 2.6.11-1.14 and the latest version of Glibc, which is 2.3.5.

Besides these, we've also given fixes to problems based on the feedback from our readers. These include a fix to print on HP printers and automatically mounting NTFS partitions. The update is easy to install. Pop the PCQLinux 2005 SP1 CD in your machine's optical drive and boot from it. If you don't have any version of PCQLinux installed, it will detect that and terminate after the second screen with a message that no installation of PCQLinux was found. Otherwise, it will continue. Note that this is only meant for PCQLinux 2005 installations, and not for the older versions of PCQLinux.

Here you will be prompted to upgrade the boot loader, but we recommen against it. So choose the 'Skip the Boot Loader upgradation' option |
If you want to go back and modify any changes you made so far, do it here. You can't go back and do it once you click on Next here |

If installation is successful, you'll get a Congrats screen. Simply reboot your machine and you're done |
