BANGALORE, INDIA: Inspan Infotech, one of the largest IT distribution companies for motherboards, cabinets and PC components in India, has announced its foray into the surveillance security products business by bringing Mercury Espial range to India.

The stand-alone Mercury Espial range of surveillance security products ensure complete security at homes and work places by allowing the user to monitor all parts of the work place or homes directly, without using the PC. Inspan Infotech is the sole distributor of Mercury products in India.

The Mercury Espial range of surveillance security products come as a kit that includes Mercury DVR (digital video recorder), a remote and a set of 4 or 8 or 16 cameras. The remote and the cameras are optional in the kit. Users have an option of going in for Sony cameras in a set of 4 or 8 or 16 nos. The DVR comes as a 4/8/16 channel system. The number of channels is the number of maximum cameras that can be set up with the DVR. The set up and installation will be taken care of by the dealer and comes at a very nominal charge.

The firmware upgrade does not need the user to carry the equipment to service centre. The firmware upgrade is done through USB interface. The range also features True Triplex functionality that works simultaneously (playback, record, & network) and supports interface of PS/2 Mouse for 4ch/8ch or USB Mouse for 16ch. The range also has a feature that supports 60fps for 4ch/8ch and 120fps for 4ch/8ch/16ch on recording and individual record frame and individual video color adjustments for each channel.

On the control side, Mercury Espial range offers an event list and audio recording, supports RS-485 interface for PTZ Camera control as optional, client software for Internet monitoring & remote DVR controlling and supports CD-RW/DVD+RW or Mobile Rack for removable HDD with bigger chassis as optional.

Mercury Espial range fits in well for builders and architects, retail shops with warehouse facility, hotels and restaurants, banks and homes. This new foray is in line with Inspan’s announcement in the beginning of this financial year about providing the channel partners newer value added products with good profitability.

“We are excited about Mercury Espial range as the latest addition in our portfolio. This product is a great value-for-money for the users and an ideal fit for the fast growing home and SMB segments. We will ensure that the channel partners continue to get more options that will allow them to sell multiple products to one customer and also increase the profitability,” said Sudhir S., managing director of Inspan Infotech.
