AIX-EN-PROVENCE, FRANCE: INSIDE Secure, a leader in embedded solutions for securing transactions, content and digital identity, today announced that Bart Stevens, INSIDE's director of product management, will be a featured speaker at the Linley Tech Processor Conference being held October 16-17 in Santa Clara, Calif. Stevens will present "Overcoming Security Bottlenecks at 40 Gbps and Beyond" at 9:00 a.m. on the 17th as part of the High-Performance Packet Processing Session.

"Geometric growth in worldwide Internet traffic is driving demand for corresponding increases in networking bandwidths," said Bart Stevens. "In parallel, security threats to sensitive data are driving expanded use of industry-standard security protocols within data communications. The combination of these two market forces is driving a demand for huge increases in security protocol throughput."

Drawing on his real world experience, Stevens will explain that this set of challenges requires a more comprehensive utilization of hardware IP for security protocol processing than is typically found in today's networking silicon. Stevens will discuss this advanced type of IP, defined as a packet engine, within which a number of protocol processing and data movement functions are synergistically combined into one high-throughput module.
