Ingram Micro to hold reseller event

MUMBAI: Ingram Micro India Ltd. (IMIL) will host a 2-day event in Agra on

March 3-4 focusing on "Empowering Channels with Global Technology".

Ingram Micro Inc. president Hans Kopper will inaugurate the event, which will

bring together the vendors, channels and the distributors of IT products. IMIL,

a subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc., is the world’s largest wholesale provider

of technology products and services.

The event was held in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai in 1999 and Calcutta in 2000.

This time, the event will see the participation of a number of resellers.

Talking about the event, IMIL vice president P G Kamath said, "This would

provide a platform to address new channels and would give all the participants a

chance to discuss problems, success tips and other measures to improve

business." Besides being a platform for profitable transactions, the thrust

would be to make it more as a complete branding event in terms of updating

products and information.
