Infosys received the award for superior information technology services and outstanding client support.

The Partners in Progress award is presented annually to a select group of supplier companies that provide Sears Holdings with quality products and services, from apparel, appliances and tools to marketing, facilities design and technology. Less than one per cent of Sears Holdings’ over 30,000 suppliers earn the coveted award each year, said a press release.

Interim CEO and President Bruce Johnson congratulated the winners stating, “Sears Holdings relies on its supplier community, as well as the quality of the merchandise and services they provide, to help us create lasting relationships with our customers and empower them to manage their lives. This program was started more than 25 years ago and is a testament to the importance of collaborating with our supplier partners to better serve our customers and increase productivity.”

“We are honored that Sears has chosen us as a winner of Partner’s Progress for the third year in a row,” said Sandeep Dadlani, vice president and head of client services for retail, consumer packaged goods and logistics, Infosys Technologies. “We are privileged to be a part of Sears’ commitment to improving its own customers’ experience.”

The Partners in Progress program recognizes suppliers for product or service quality, innovation, diversity and overall market performance. The winners were selected from nominations submitted by Sears’ associates who purchase goods and services for the company in 2008.
