Infy, Evolving Systems in strategic tie-up

BANGALORE: Infosys Technologies Ltd., a leader in IT consulting, and Evolving

Systems, a software, consulting and integration company that enables next

generation telecom and Internet services, have announced a strategic tie-up. To

assist Evolving Systems in expanding its lead position in local number

portability (LNP), Infosys has formed a project team within its Offshore

Development Center. The company has deployed 35 professionals who will focus on

features, enhancements and maintenance of core telecom technologies in close

cooperation with Evolving Systems’ internal staff.

The two teams will work on building an effective response system to meet the

continuous demand from customers and the marketplace for Evolving Systems’ LNP

solutions. With its business growing rapidly, Evolving Systems needed to

leverage its internal expertise in order to add more features and functionality

to its products and meet time-to-market needs.

Evolving Systems saw its LNP-related revenue in Q2 increase by 800 per cent.

Speaking about the tie-up with Infosys, Evolving Systems chairman and chief

executive officer George Hallenbeck said, "To satisfy customer demand

faster, we needed a company whose own talent pool had the expertise to meet our

staffing requirements."
