Infy BPO may name D. Swaminathan as new CEO

BANGALORE, INDIA: India's leading IT outsourcing firm Infosys Technologies would announce about the new chiefs for its business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) division on January 12, during its quarterly announcements at their Mysore Campus.

The spokesperson at Infosys informed that there shall not be any formal announcement but just the acknowledgement of the respective heads during the press briefing.

According to internal sources, the new appointments are most likely to follow the succession planning, where the subordinates of the corresponding positions would take up the role of their majors, which means, Swaminathan Dandpani the current COO and senior vice president of Infosys BPO is most likely to be the CEO.

Last year, in the month of November, Amitabh Chaudhry had quit as CEO and MD of Infosys BPO to join HDFC Life, and around the same time Joydeep Mukherjee vacated the position of VP and head of the KPO unit.

The Infosys Q3 results on January 12, 2010 will be hosted at the Infosys campus in Mysore.
