InfoVision opens facility in Chennai

CHENNAI, INDIA: Delhi-based independent BPO firm InfoVision Group has opened its new facility in Chennai and plans to invest Rs 50 -100 crore in the Southern region by 2010.

The company plans to expand into tier-2 and 3 cities like Mysore, Coimbatore and Kochi.

Aditya Gupta, president and founder, InfoVision Group, said, "With the barriers of language and region fading everyday, the domestic BPO business is set to provide immense opportunities to the country's youth. This new facility is a big step towards capitalizing these opportunities."

The new facility is spread across 50,000 sq. feet and would accommodate over 1000 employees by the end of 2008.

The company, which has a strong presence in the southern region with centers in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, is also looking at ramping up the employee base to a count of around 6500 in the period creating opportunities for the local talent.

InfoVision currently employs 1500 people in Chennai and 2500 in the South, which is poised to grow to 3500 by the end of 2008.
