New Update

HYDERABAD, INDIA: Infotech Enterprises has established a new rolling stock and components (RSC) engineering center for its longstanding partner Alstom Transport in Bangalore, India. On this occasion, Infotech signed a five-year framework agreement with Alstom for continued support by leveraging its provenexpertise and capacity.

Infotech has been Alstom's local engineering partner for more than eight years. The development of this commitment between Infotech and Alstom is the result of particularly close collaboration between sourcing and engineering teams. "Over a nine-month period, we worked extremely hard at building solid foundations for a sustainable and efficient relationship, taking account of feedback from previous years, Make or Buy,and the RSC Engineering vision," Philippe Brochard (Alstom Sourcing Transverse Commodities director) explained.

The new RSC engineering center will cover all the engineering areas, with particular focus on the mechanical section. In three years' time, 350 people will be providing support for Alstom's development plan in India, a plan based on quality and the continuous improvement of skills. The new RSC engineering center from Infotech will then be able to provide support for all Alstom Transport sites.

B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, founder and chairman, Infotech, added: "Infotech Enterprises is extremely proud to be associated with Alstom Transport. Our goal is to create trusted partnerships with our customers in order to help them drive value in their organizations through continuous improvement in the areas of quality and productivity across the product life cycle. Through this key partnership with Alstom, Infotech is committed to providing support for Alstom's growth in the Asia Pacific region, where the company has an increasing amount of activity."
